(Note: These are screen captures of MCBase for DOS/Win3 version 2.4a, these still apply to V2.5 as well. When switched to 43/50 line mode, the MCBase desktop will of course offer twice as much room for multiple windows as this standard 25 line mode, used for these examples).
The following is a typical MCBase style data editing dialog. In this case, the song editing dialog.
A typical MCBase V2.x edit dialog.

Please note, the blue fields are currently editable fields. The other fields are inserted from their respective databases, using one of the green "select"-buttons...

The following is an MCBase listbox. These are used to present the collections data to the user. Following is the album listbox.
    An MCBase data listbox

The album listbox, which currently has the application's focus, contains all songs from the currently loaded album. Below the listbox, you can see a part of the song data information dialog, which comes into focus after clicking on one of the songs in the listbox...

MCBase allows you to work in various databases simultaniously: here are a few open dialogs...
    MCBase allows multiple dialogs open...

In the bottom dialog, we are adding an album to the collection. While we're in the process, we discovered that the artist and producer entries weren't available in the database as yet. So we just opened up the appropriate dialogs and added the required items, after which they are selectable, using the "select artist"- and "select producer"-buttons.

In the blue window, below the grey dialog boxes, you see an instance of the internal editor at work.Currently, MCBase is configured to allow some 20 of these editor windows open at the same time, depending on the "files = xx" setting in your config.sys file.
