Are you receiving strange emails, that seem to originate from us?

We're very disappointed to have noticed that someone and/or something is sending out email messages, containing scripts, pif's and other unwanted items, while making it look like these were sent from our domain name and website (by forging their email header data). Please be aware that these are NOT sent by us or our domain.

The only email we would send you (with your permission, see above), would be a pure text invitation, to either read a new newsletter or download a new release of a product that you have purchased with us. If you receive an unexpected email from "us", that is not pure text and / or includes attachments, it is very unlightly that we sent this to you. We urge you to remove such an email without opening it.

Background info: There seem to be two occurances of these forged emails.
    • In the first, there are relatively "normal" email messages being sent, with forged email headers. These messages can contain anything at all and can be sent by literally anyone on the Internet.
    • In the second, an email spoofing virus seems to be at work. On the infected computer, the virus takes a random "to" address and a random "from" address, generates a topic and content (or copies these from existing emails) and sends itself out as an attachment to this message. The recipient address can never know who sent it, since most data in the email header is forged. Click here for details on such a virus.
