A short guideline to get you going with creating your own reports in the
    SQLBox User Report Designer.

    Page index (& supporting links):

    Introduction to the SQLBox URD.

The User Report Designer: what can it do for you? Well, a report is a printout of data records from a database. In a report, it is defined how the printout looks (arrangement of fields on the page, fonts, logo's, etc.). Suppose, you'd want to print a list of addresses from an address database system - then you would use a report, to tell the computer which fields to print where and in which order. The User Report Designer (URD) will let you compose the report that you want - in the way you want it.

The User Report Designer (URD), as implemented in SQLBox, is actually identical to the implementations in MCBase and PictureBook. The main difference with these applications is, that SQLBox is a general data processing application, while MCBase and PictureBook are dedicated data processing applications.

As such, the explanations in the MCBase and PictureBook URD guides are directly suitable as proper examples for explaining how to use the SQLBox URD - it's fully identical, be it that SQLBox will normally address a wider range of database sets. (One might expect, that MCBase and PictureBook would both only address their own database sets, although their URD would allow otherwise).
